Neolithic Revolution

During the Neolithic period an Agricultural Revolution occurred, also known as the Neolithic Revolution, where humans transitioned from nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyles to farming lifestyles. People in a region in the middle east known as the 'Fertile Crescent'were the first to begin farming around 10 000 BC. The word 'Neolithic' comes from ancient greek 'neo' meaning new and 'lithos' meaning stone which is a reference to the polished stones you see in the tools found from this era. The Neolithic Revolution was supported by improved weather conditions for farming as it occurred after the end of an ice age.
